Dr. Iorio edited and co-authored Taking it to the Streets:  Qualitative Research in Journalism (2004, Sage) that received a first-place award from the National Federation of Press Women and was used in graduate-level journalism classes for a decade.

Connecting High-Quality Educators with Urban Students: Comprehensive Teacher Education and Community

Dr. Iorio is primary author of Connecting High-Quality Educators with Urban Students (2017, Rowman & Littlefield).  The book summarizes the Professional Development School model for teacher education that began with a $6.5 million U. S. Department of Education Teacher Quality Partnership Grant between Wichita State University and Wichita Public Schools.
